  • CE Marked: The RObust 1500 complies with EC New Approach Directives, confirming its safety and reliability.
Reverse Osmosis Process
Reverse osmosis operates by pushing water through a semi-permeable membrane, which separates contaminants, flushing them away, while the purified water collects in a storage tank.
Reverse osmosis (RO) is a highly effective filtration method that uses a thin, semi-permeable membrane with ultra-fine pores (0.0001 microns) to allow only pure water to pass through, blocking larger particles like dissolved salts (ions), bacteria, and viruses.
This process is among the most efficient for removing up to 99.8% of impurities, including harmful microorganisms. By combining pre-filters with the membrane, the system delivers exceptionally clean and pure drinking water. Overall, reverse osmosis effectively removes solids, chemicals, heavy metals, pesticides, chlorine, arsenic, aluminum, boron, cryptosporidium, fluoride, potassium nitrates, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), ensuring high water quality.

Key benefits

  • Fresh Mineralization
Magnesium technology makes water fresh, tasty and healthy thanks to natural minerals

How It Works

1
First stage of purification
Preliminary purification of water from mechanical impurities. Passing through the cartridge made of porous polypropylene fiber, water is purified from silt, sand, rust particles.
2
Second stage of purification
Purification of water from organic and organochlorine substances as well as chlorine. Improves the taste, color and odor of water. Inside the cartridge - activated carbon in the form of granules.
3
Third stage of purification
Final purification of water from the smallest particles of mechanical impurities before the reverse osmosis membrane.
4
Fourth stage of purification
The main stage of filtration. After pre-treatment, the water enters the membrane, which reliably retains 99.8% of impurities.
5
Fifth stage of purification
Carbon post-filter eliminates unpleasant odors and tastes. Provides additional water conditioning.
6
Mineralizer
Enriches purified water with calcium and magnesium, and improves the taste of water
7
Purified water tank
The 12-liter storage tank allows you to always have a supply of 5 to 7 liters of purified drinking water. The tank is divided by a thin rubber membrane approximately in the middle into two chambers, the upper chamber is filled with purified water and the lower chamber of the tank contains overpressurized air to push the water out of the tank into the tap.
8
Faucet for purified drinking water
A faucet is necessary if your faucet does not allow for two sources of water at the same time (some homes have these installed)

Frequently asked questions
Question:
What's cheaper a reverse osmosis filter or bottled water?
Answer:
Over time, a reverse osmosis filter proves to be more economical compared to purchasing bottled water, particularly for heavy users. While the upfront cost of a reverse osmosis system might seem steep, it quickly pays off. For instance, if you use 10 liters of water daily for drinking and cooking, that totals 3,650 liters annually. This amount would equate to approximately 2,433 one-and-a-half-liter bottles, costing over 1,000 euros per year. By investing in a reverse osmosis filter for 450 euros, you save 550 euros in the first year alone and over 800 euros annually thereafter. Additionally, you'll eliminate the hassle of carrying water packs from the store and reduce plastic waste by avoiding 2,433 plastic bottles.
Question:
How often do I need to change the cartridges (filter elements) in my reverse osmosis filter?
Answer:
The filter elements in a reverse osmosis system are divided into two categories:
  • Standard Filter Cartridges (excluding the reverse osmosis membrane):
These cartridges need to be replaced annually if the daily water consumption is around 5 liters. The cost for a set of these cartridges ranges from 80 to 110 euros.
  • Reverse Osmosis Membrane:
The membrane cartridge requires replacement every two years. The cost for this cartridge is between 60 and 80 euros.
Question:
What is the difference between a reverse osmosis filter and a conventional filter?
Answer:
A reverse osmosis filter differs from a conventional filter in that it uses a semi-permeable membrane to remove finer particles and impurities from water. This process allows only water molecules to pass through, effectively filtering out minerals, salts, organic contaminants, bacteria, viruses, and other dissolved substances. In contrast, conventional filters typically work by passing water through a filter media that captures larger particles and sediments but may not effectively remove the smaller dissolved contaminants that a reverse osmosis system can.
Question:
How to improve the taste of water after reverse osmosis?
Answer:
There are several ways to improve the taste of your water after your reverse osmosis filter:
  • Use a remineralization cartridge: the reverse osmosis system we offer comes with a remineralization cartridge that adds minerals back into the water.
  • Add flavor: you can add pieces of fruit, herbs or spices to your water to give it a natural flavor.
  • Use a carbon post filter: the reverse osmosis system we offer comes with a carbon post filter that helps remove any remaining unpleasant tastes or odors from the water.
  • Chill your water: chilling your water can help improve its flavor and make it more refreshing.
  • Drink water from glassware.
Question:
Do I need to boil the water after the reverse osmosis filter?
Answer:
Boiling water after it has been filtered through a reverse osmosis system is usually unnecessary because the reverse osmosis process is quite effective at removing harmful pathogens, bacteria, viruses and other impurities from the water.
Question:
How do I get rid of hard water throughout my house so the water doesn't dry out my skin?
Answer:
Getting rid of hard water in your entire apartment or entire house will help you install a water softener. You can learn more about this device here
